Our design partners, Jensen Architects, masterfully balanced the desire for transparency and interconnectedness with crucial considerations of privacy, sound and solar performance in a close-knit San Francisco neighborhood. The extensive use of glass allows for an abundance of natural light and seamless visual connections to the surrounding environment – an expansive California city view. To address privacy concerns, floor-to-ceiling aluminum louvers are incorporated to obscure side views to and from neighboring homes, while still allowing for the passage of light and the preservation of direct outward views. And sound control is maintained with Vitrocsa (acoustic STC rating of 40).
