In the serene coastal landscape of Westport, Connecticut, American studio Roger Ferris + Partners executed a minimalist marvel. Designed as a quiet, contemporary counterpart to the main shingle-style estate, this bar-shaped pool house is tucked into a grassy berm overlooking a tidal estuary and the Long Island Sound.

The interior unfolds as a crisp, contemporary space, centered around its most commanding feature: a striking 75-foot swimming pool. The design brief demanded a space that felt deeply connected to the coastal environment, requiring a continuous, expansive wall of glass that would flood the interior with daylight and deliver truly unobstructed views.

To achieve this severe minimalist aesthetic - where the form must remain "crisp, clean" (Dezeen 2020) while providing vast, operable glazing - the architects turned to Vitrocsa's Invisible Wall by Goldbrecht.

Offering the world's slimmest sightlines, the Vitrocsa system transforms the structural facade into an almost invisible frame. The Invisible Wall's patented engineering allows all vents, tracks, and mechanical components to be cleverly hidden within the floor, ceiling, and walls. This precision ensures that the glass wall operates seamlessly, but the focus remains entirely on the stunning outdoor environment, fulfilling the architects' commitment to sophisticated simplicity.

The Pool House by Roger Ferris + Partners is a powerful example of how minimalism is defined by the technology it employs.
